Our breeding program is based on the idea that what is needed is an all-around dog: a beautiful, hunting, family dog, a dog that is as gentle when romping with the kids as he/she is effective when hunting upland game or waterfowl, and a dog that is both manageable, and capable when taken on a camping trip, hunt, hike, ride, run, walk, swim, or just around the house.

To reach this goal, we breed for a sound, intelligent, instinctual hunter of moderate size, with a manageable (low maintenance) field coat. Next, we breed for a beautiful conformation to the standard. And finally, we will not breed a dog which is ill-tempered, mean, aggressive, or unmanageable. In short, we will not breed a dog with whom we would not leave our two year old.

All of our breeding dogs are hip and eye certified, and in actively sound health.
